Summer Reading
Check out Search Institute’s online newsletter which focuses on summer reading. Asset Champion Angie Jerabek, who coordinates St. Louis Park High School’s 9th grade Building Assets Reducing Risks initiative and does consulting for Search, is a featured writer.
St. Louis Park Library has many opportunities for teens to enjoy reading and fun activities this summer including Teen Anime Club, Henna Tattoo: A Body Arts and Robot Clocks that Rock! Go to the library’s website for details.
Wednesday meals during the summer
Join in a good home cooked meal and some friendly company on Wednesdays through August 18th, 5:30 -7:00 p.m. at Lenox Community Center, 6715 Minnetonka Blvd. Kosher options are available. Lenox is located at 6715 Minnetonka Blvd. and located on bus line 17. Free will donations will be accepted, but not expected. The project is being coordinated by Westwood Lutheran Church.
Fun with LEGOs at Wolfe Park
LEGO is launching a 10-week, 10-venue tour including a stop at Wolfe Park on August 6, 7 & 8. The event consists of multiple interactive spaces including a main stage featuring family-based competition to encourage family play and creativity, a satellite gaming area allowing families to play together with LEGO toys and photo opportunities around the site to inspire imagination. The 2010 LEGO mobile tour is an exclusive opportunity marking only the second tour in seven years and will be held at only 10 sites in the U.S.
