St. Louis Park shows its pride

St. Louis Park participated in the Reinventing Minnesota’s 25th anniversary Minnesota Community Pride Competition. Award winners were named on September 6th at the Minnesota State Fair with the Lilac Park/Beehive Restoration winning the top prize in the Natural Resources/Environment Parks category.

Children First’s 40 Asset artwork project received an honorable mention in the Arts & Culture category. Beautify the Park, a program encouraging residents to take pride in their neighborhood and do their part to clean up the Park, was the runner up in the Community Beautification category. Elmwood Neighborhood 36th Street Streetscape Design was also a runner up in the community design category. This nomination recognized the design and rebuilding of the streetscape creating a safe and attractive pedestrian environment while connecting important community designations.
