Become an Asset Champion
Anyone who lives, works, goes to school or volunteers in St. Louis Park can become trained as an Asset Champion. Individuals from a variety of backgrounds are involved. See the list of organizations that have Asset Champions.
Asset Champions keep the Children First philosophy alive by:
- Intentionally building assets in young people through daily interactions.
- Educating others about the importance of the 40 Developmental Assets.
- Leading by example in influencing others to build assets.
- Incorporating asset-building into what they already do where they live, work or volunteer.
The four-hour training is free to attend and is offered many times during the year. A reservation is required. Use this link to make a reservation. Once trained, there are a variety of activities to help Asset Champions fulfill their commitment and connect with others.
Asset Champions understand the importance of a wide-spread, sustained effort to benefit the healthy development of our infants, children and teens.
Super Champion Teams
After you are trained as an Asset Champion, further your commitment by participating in a Super Champion Team. Teams participate in five small group discussed led by Super Champion volunteers. The format is designed to inspire and equip Asset Champions with what they need to set and achieve asset-building goals. Participating on a team also provides a means to connect with others in the community who are focused on the healthy development of our youth.
