Dr. Wagner recognized for service to youth

Dr. Mary Wagner, a family practice doctor with Park Nicollet Clinic and the volunteer medical director for Central Clinic received the Gil Braun Community Service Award from The Rotary Club of St. Louis Park. Dr. Wagner received accolades for her work with Central Clinic which provides free physical and mental health services for St. Louis Park infants, children and teens. Not only does Mary provide care and oversee the residents who staff the clinic, she also does anything she can to spread the word about the clinic and empower young people with information about their health. For example, last year she spoke to all the 10th grade health classes at St. Louis Park High School about how to get the most out of their visit to the doctor.

The St. Louis Park Rotary Club honors a community member annually with the award. Gil Braun, was a Rotarian who provided the impetus for Children First. He is now 92 years old. Photo: Dr. Wagner is pictured above with Rotarian Allan Ackerman and president of the Rotary Club Rev. David Landt.
