Connect with other Asset Champions as you go back to school at the Children First Champion Charge on April 29. Learn about current district initiatives. It’s free to attend. Bring your own lunch. It’s an informal gathering, so stop by as your schedule permits. Apples and beverages will be provided. This is an early release day, so young people are encouraged to attend. Park in the “circle” lot or the visitor’s parking off of 33rd Street.

Ali Sipkins from Youth Frontiers attended the Children First annual meeting in March. She was so excited about it that by early April the staff at Youth Frontiers (pictured here) was trained as Asset Champions.
Join the 150 people in St. Louis Park committed to making this the best place on the planet for young people. Training includes information about Children First, the 40 Developmental Assets, Sparks and what it means to be an Asset Champion. Training is free but a reservation is required. Children First Ice Cream Social
Sunday, May 16, 2-5 p.m.
Wolfe Park, near the Rec Center at 3700 Monterey Drive
Volunteers are needed to help at the 17th annual Children First Ice Cream Social. The event includes free Sebastain Joe’s and kosher ice cream from Byerly’s, entertainment and family activities. This year a SPARKS Fair will be held featuring a variety of activities that may light the Spark in a young person or adult.
Volunteers can scoop ice cream for a 30-minute shift, assist with set up and clean up, work at the Children First table and help check in exhibitors. If interested email Karen.
