A Spark is a special quality, skill or interest that lights us up and that we are passionate about. A spark comes from insides of us and we express it, it gives us joy and energy.

Children First encourages everyone to take time to think about their own Spark and then be a champion, or Spark Plug, for someone else. Research shows that young people who know and develop their Sparks, are more likely to have better school attendance and higher grades and are more likely to have a sense of purpose. They are also less likely to use violence or experience depression.
